Gwyn March, IPA CPD Adviser, to retire at the end of 2025

Gwyn has led the IPA Training Forum for 16 years

After an extraordinary career spanning 38 years in the advertising industry, we are proud and a little wistful to announce the retirement of the incredible Gwyn March at the end of 2025.

As IPA CPD Adviser, Gwyn has had a profound impact - not only on the IPA but on the entire advertising industry and all the people fortunate enough to work with her.

Among her many achievements are being key to the creation of Continuous Professional Development as a cornerstone of IPA membership, two Apprenticeship Standards for the industry, 16 years running the IPA Training Forum and many other accomplishments for which there is certainly not enough space here for us to celebrate.

Comments from the industry on Gwyn's retirement:

Louise White, Director of Professional Development, IPA:

"It has been an absolute pleasure (and a whirlwind) working with the irrepressible Gwyn March. The industry has been extremely fortunate to have someone with her unwavering passion and commitment supporting it behind the scenes, so our talent and businesses thrive. We will miss Gwyn very much and wish her an extremely happy and well-deserved retirement."

Sarah Vickerstaff, Head of Member Services, IPA:

Whether they realise it or not, there are thousands in our industry whose career has been influenced by Gwyn March. She has trained leaders in the hundreds, and her pioneering and tireless work to transform the culture of learning in agencies will continue to make a difference long after her well-earned retirement begins. Ask anyone who has benefited from her warmth, wisdom and boundless energy during 'CPD Gold season' and they will tell you – there is no one quite like Gwyn."

Patrick Mills FIPA, former IPA Director of Membership and Professional Development:

"It was a great privilege to work with you. You taught me so much and made my work much easier, but more importantly, you supported the advertising industry on so many levels from graduate trainee to CEO. And along the way, we had lots of fun. Your legacy will live on for years to come. My very best wishes for the future."

Alan Mead, Coach and Trainer:

"I’m one of those people who have been fortunate enough to work with you, Gwyn, and I will always be totally grateful for the support you gave me and the faith you showed me. Thank you so much and have a fabulous retirement."

Kate Bruges, Communications Director, DelAgua Group:

"What a totally incredible human. You have given so much, with such generosity, wisdom and kindness. You have impacted thousands of lives. The industry is so fortunate to have had you. I loved working with you, and I send you all my best wishes for your next chapter."
