IPA extends personal membership scheme for agency staff impacted by COVID-19

The scheme had been due to expire on 30 June 2021.

The IPA is extending its scheme allowing any employee of an IPA member agency who has been made redundant between 1 January 2020 and 31 December 2021 to continue to enjoy the benefits of their personal membership (MIPA) and have access to the MIPA Pathway until 31 December 2021. Previously, the scheme had been due to expire on 30 June 2021.

Those affected will maintain access to IPA courses and qualifications and IPA CPD record and other MIPA benefits, until 1 January 2022 or until they are employed at a new member agency.

Says Patrick Mills, Director of Membership and Professional Development, IPA: "The last 15 months have been incredibly tough on everyone and it is vital that we continue to support our members whose livelihoods have been impacted by the pandemic. We are therefore pleased to be able to extend our membership scheme until the end of 2021."

For individuals working outside of IPA member agencies, access to the MIPA Pathway would normally cost £600pa, while maintaining your MIPA accreditation costs £200pa.
