David started with AT Kearney in management consulting, before crossing over to advertising.

He has led DDB Asia the last 5 years, across its offices in Singapore, Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, Hong Kong and Seoul. He has given the DDB offices a marketing edge with its integrated and collaborative model of working. This includes a TX digital innovation practice with over 50 technologists in Singapore, a Tribal-X gaming division in Korea, a social commerce division in China and innovation hubs partnering leading universities in Asia. Recently, it started a marketing intelligence division with Rocsearch, a global online research company.

A planner himself, David has won over 55 Effies and 117 Marketing Awards the last 10 years. He’s best known for his passion for made-in-Asia brands across telco, banking and finance, retail, sports, government, universities and non-profit organisations.

David was twice named Advertising Professional of the Year by Marketing Magazine, and conferred the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Institute Advertising of Singapore (IAS). He was inducted into the Singapore Advertising Hall of Fame in 2011.

Despite his list of outstanding achievements, David retains an incredibly down-to-earth approach to life: he is still writing the brief, the ideas and the pitch decks.
