Macmillan: Fighting cancer with more than medicine

1991-1994 press and poster campaign. Objective was to make the charity and its work better known and to increase funds. Research showed that the charities work was not as well understood as some of the other cancer charities. Result was a better understanding of the role of the Macmillan nurses and an increase in voluntary income. Growth was maintained during the recession while other charities halved theirs. Charity were able to expand their work significantly. Campaign more than paid for itself
