Headspace - using a social tool to reduce bullying

This case demonstrates how the Australian charity, Headspace National Youth Mental Health Foundation, used a software tool to intervene in individuals’ social messages before they are sent, and prompt youngsters to reconsider the effects of their words on others. The Reword tool worked as a personalised alert, stimulating social media users to reconsider their use of particular language. After the introduction into schools of the Re-word tool, there was a reported 67 per cent reduction in bullying behaviour per user.
