Holiday booking plans 2026

IPA Insight Pulse Poll

An IPA Insight Pulse Poll of 2,000 people aged 18+, commissioned by the IPA and conducted by Opinium, revealing the UK's holiday booking plans for 2026.

Key findings:

  • 3/4 of UK adults have already taken, booked and/or are planning to book their 2026 holiday.
  • UK adults intend to spend over £2,000 on average on holidays this year.
  • More than a third of 18-34s use social media to plan their holidays.
  • Holiday bookings peak in March while actual vacations peak in June.

The nationally representative poll was commissioned by the IPA among a sample of 2,000 UK adults in employment and was undertaken by Opinium in January 2026.
