1 in 4 Scots will experience mental illness and many will experience discrimination in their communities as a result. The 'See Me' campaign was launched to tackle these issues in October 2002. A multi-media campaign working closely with local mental health groups was able to make a start on changing public attitudes. Awareness of the stigma surrounding mental health issues was raised and many of the myths were challenged
