Entry Level Talent Advisory Service

Advice and information on entry level roles, apprenticeships and routes into a career in the advertising industry

Welcome to the new IPA Entry Level Talent Advisory Service which will help agencies hire the right entry level people and help fresh potentials secure roles in our industry.

This service replaces the Creative Pioneers programme which in the last decade helped secure over 800 apprentice jobs, many from underrepresented backgrounds. It bows out as a one-stop shop because the entry level talent opportunities are now vast and complicated.

Once fully operational the service will provide advice and information on:

  • Entry level roles, their job descriptions and where your career can go from there.
  • Apprentice standards – what are commonly used, suitable for different disciplines.
  • Explaining apprenticeships – for example levy and non levy, levy transfers, finding a good training provider, key things a training provider needs to do, how to influence and amend the standards, the role played by the Creative Industries Council.
  • All the routes in including Kickstart, AdUnlocked, work experience/incubators, IPA Jobs, private providers such as Brixton Finishing School and Marketing Debuts, the Creative Career’s Portal, university degrees and placements.
  • The importance of aligning your entry level talent plans with your diversity strategy, and how to reach out to underrepresented groups.
  • Case studies from various successful entrants in the last ten years on how they got in and their career path.

In the meantime please contact [email protected] for advice.
