IPA announces 2026 IPA Beacon List celebrating next generation agencies

Recognising 20 of the UK’s most exciting emerging and high-growth agencies

The IPA has unveiled the 2026 IPA Beacon list, recognising 20 of the UK’s most exciting emerging and high-growth agencies that are redefining the future of the industry through innovation, entrepreneurship and new models for growth.

Now in its second year, the IPA Beacon List is spearheaded by Paul Mead, Agency Chair and Board Member, former director at Jellyfish and Founder of VCCP Media, and is the product of months of in-depth research, interviews with Editor-in-Chief Ellen Hammett, and outreach via the IPA network, desktop investigations, and social media sourcing.

The 2026 IPA Beacon List are:

Adfabric, BigSmall, Boldspace, Coffee Design, cold glass, Connective3, eight&four, Fabric Social, InChief, lemontank, Loop Horizon, Onyx, Rooster Punk, Saulderson, Soar With Us, Social Shepherd, TAU Marketing Solutions, The Good Influence, Transmission, ZEAL.

And Ones to Watch:

SearchIntel, Zebora, Noodl.

As acknowledged by Mead and Hammett, the 2026 list arrives at a time of significant change across the agency sector. Over the past year, the industry has faced restructuring, consolidation, economic uncertainty and rapidly evolving client expectations, all against the backdrop of AI-driven transformation. This year’s cohort reflects how agencies are responding to that pressure.

Commenting on the 2026 Beacon List:

Says Paul Mead: “In many ways, IPA Beacon has become a snapshot of a sector in transition. What we continue to see is not the decline of agencies, but reinvention. The most exciting businesses are embracing technology while doubling down on the things that matter most: creativity, strategic thinking, community, culture, innovation, and human insight. Many are being built natively around the realities of an AI-enabled market. What connects them is optimism, adaptability and ambition.”

From trying new ways of working to developing new tools and technologies that carve a real point of difference, our 2026 cohort has recognised a need to do things differently and put the wheels in motion. But this year, something feels different. There is a greater sense of urgency.

Ellen Hammett

It is this sense of urgency that underpins the introduction of the new ‘Ones to Watch’ category within the Beacon initiative, that this year recognises three early-stage agencies already showing strong potential through innovative approaches to people, culture, technology and business building.

IPA Beacon showcases the direction and dynamism of high-growth businesses shaping the next era of the industry. Congratulations to all those making the 2026 list; I highly recommend exploring their profiles for insights into how to get ahead.
